'Childlike Faith'
![]() Original artwork is a combination of pencil and airbursh, using black ink and white acrylic paint. Originally painted to illustrate chapter three of a book by Katherine Bell called 'Jonathan', later published as 'Jonathan's Journey' by Thomas Nelson Publishers. (This painting is not included in the book, however the book does contain 10 ink illustrations by Steve Miller) Although Jonathan Klentzman is severely handicapped with cerebral palsy and cannot actually walk, or talk or do anything for himself, in 'Jonathans Journey' he is allowed to walk one night on a beach as hundreds of seagulls come to greet him. Jesus tells him of the fall of mankind from fellowship with God. The border of the painting shows a serpent and some apples, which illustrate the story in Genesis when Satan said to Eve "Hath God said..." This painting captures that moment of fascination when Jonathan walks as other children and experiences the wonder of the created world. Reproductions of this artwork are now available in a very limited edition. Only 750 are in the edition, each signed and numbered by the artist. The image size is 10 inches by 12.5 inches printed in a 12 by 15 inch 100 lb. cover paper. The price of this limited edition print is $29 U.S. dollars.
