.Like many
artist, Maggie Tolbertson feels the tension that is present
when one tries to find a medium in which to express the
emotions and feelings of life and the experiences that accompany
it.
Maggie has discovered with the computer, using software like
"Painter",
a unique way to convey those things she feels in her heart. She
says,
"It is
amazing what God has been
doing with the talent that He gave me. I was always drawing with
pencil and paper, markers, etc. as a child, but I have always
wanted to learn to paint. But, money for materials has never been
very handy for us. But with the advent of computer art programs I
have
finally been able to learn without wasting money on materials
...when I
might have been dissatisfied with the final results. I have
always
know that the talent I DO have is from Him, so I don't envy those
who are
better at it.. I just want to share what He has given me."
Maggie also
expresses those truths of God and her walk with Him in poetry.
Combined with the visual media of digital color and the well
chosen words
of her poetry, she tells of the beauty and pain of walking
that long journey
